We strive to install your building products in ways that may be unique to your home. Not every house is the same with age or perhaps a water leak has changed the way your house aged. When the professionals installers at Port City find an issue it’s always corrected to ensure a quality finish.

During removal of existing finish it’s not uncommon for our installers to find wood that has been absorbing water from an improper flashed deck, or a leaking doors / window etc. When this occurs the owner is contacted, by text usually with a picture of damaged area. After permission from the owners is granted, our installers painstakingly remove all rotted materials and do a thorough clean up of the area.

New materials will be installed to repair such areas. Our trusted installers will take several pictures:

  1. Picture of area as we found it

  2. Picture of area after demo & clean up so the owner can see for themselves the extent of the damage

  3. Picture to follow up of the area after all repairs are completed so project can continue

  4. Finally a picture when new products are installed to finish the project whether it be a siding job, window replacement on any other of the many professional renovations our installers are doing for you. We never leave rot or damage behind in our finish.

Many buildings new or old are not perfectly plumb and level. Our experience after being in the industry since 1983 has enabled our team unique ways of solving these issues. Many older buildings have no sill gasket at concrete wall / floor connection. We use techniques with pressure treated wood and spray foam insulation to solve this. The process also creates a pressure treated area to the weather at the base of your wall to help with the longevity of your building. This process also enables our installers to correct any issues with the elevation being out of level. Nothing worse then seeing new products installed incorrectly.

  • We build decks of any size with as many levels as the client requests, and any style of railings to finish off your new beautiful deck.

  • On this project we removed the existing fire escape at the rear of the building due to rotted wood. We added 1 1/2" insulation, new wood and aluminum capping on all openings. New vertical steel siding was installed and we rebuilt the back deck / fire escape system.

  • At this site the client had a water leak issue along with fire escape that was dangerous to use. We decided to rebuild the fire escape but not before installing insulation and siding along with soffit, facia, window & door trims in an area that would have been difficult to install after stairs were in place.
